Since hotel construction began in July, a priority has been placed on hiring Milwaukee residents and minority-owned firms. Goals set by the Tribe have thus far been met.

Recently a construction trade magazine, Construction Today, profiled Potawatomi Bingo Casino's $150 million, 20-story hotel project. The hotel is slated for opening in 2014.

Pre-construction activity underway at hotel site
Diggers, bulldozers and other machinery are in action at Potawatomi Bingo Casino as workers prepare the site for hotel construction. This week, a gravel pad is being put into place to stabilize the ground for the cranes that will begin driving piles into the ground as part of the construction process.
