BACCARAT is a sophisticated-sounding name for a simple game. It involves two dealt hands, the PLAYER and the BANKER. You wager on which will be closest to nine (9).

Card values are as follows: 2-9 are face value; 10, Jack, Queen and King all have values of zero (0); Aces have a value of one (1). There is no way to “bust” on a hand; the hand’s value is a single digit number between 0 and 9. If the total of the cards is a two-digit number, then the left digit is dropped and the remaining right digit is the score.
