A Visit with Vince
To increase the excitement surrounding the tournament, that familiar guy you've surely seen gracing the screen in commercials and on billboards, Vince Van Patten, will be here to amp things up a bit. He'll be mixing and mingling with players—and maybe even passing along a helpful hint or two. Here's a sample of the events Vince will be attending:
Saturday, July 30
• Hot Seat Drawings
• T-shirt Giveaway
Sunday, July 31
• Play a hand with Vince in the Poker Room
• Meet and Greet Event
Schedule subject to change. More details to come.
You know his face, but there are probably a few things you don't know about Potawatomi Bingo Casino's spokesman.
For starters, Vince's father is actor Dick Van Patten (best known for his role as Tom Bradford on the popular '70s show, Eight is Enough) and, like his father, Vince got his early start in the entertainment industry. As young as age nine, he was in commercials, followed by guest appearances on more than three-dozen classic TV series and roles in several films.
Van Patten is also an avid tennis player—at the height of his tennis career, he defeated John McEnroe and two other top ten world-ranked pros. In addition to hosting Celebrity Tennis, he is currently the host and commentator of the World Poker Tour, which he has done for nine seasons.
So, when you see him, be sure to say hello—and maybe even ask for some good luck.
