As the ball is propelled onto the playing field, memories of days gone by come flooding back. Hours spent at the local arcade with one goal in mind—to see your name listed as the highest score on your favorite pinball game.
Reaching that goal took much time and skill. You would play the game over and over again to improve your timing and technique. You became a master of the flippers—carefully aiming and controlling the small metal ball to direct it exactly where you wanted it to go. Giving the table a little well-timed nudge here and there also helped move the ball along.
