Giving is a Part of our Tradition

When the Forest County Potawatomi Community built its business in Milwaukee nearly two decades ago, it was based on a vision for a future of self-sufficiency. Along with the business, a charitable organization was built—a reflection of the lifelong beliefs to use only what one needs and give back what one can.

We recognized that just being in the community wasn’t enough, so we committed ourselves to investing in and providing promising futures to individuals and families in the community. In 1999, the Forest County Potawatomi Community Foundation (FCPCF) was organized to provide assistance within our communities. The Foundation has contributed millions of dollars to charitable causes primarily in southeastern Wisconsin, with an emphasis on community and economic development. The mission of the Foundation is to help fight poverty, promote economic opportunity, strengthen communities and provide an example of responsible citizenship by assisting charitable organizations.

The Foundation mission is best understood through the examples it provides in its charitable efforts, and these stories best illustrate the community-wide nature of its giving programs.
